Where has Chie Been??

This summer has just swallowed me whole. I’m sorry!

Here’s a brief update on what I’ve been up to:

The first half of summer, I was taking two ASL classes, which meant I was in class every day for several hours, which didn’t leave a lot of time for blogging.

Then my classes finished and I started my first round of edits for UnConventional, which took me a couple weeks to get through, but I’m really happy with the revisions. I think it’s an even better book than it was before, and I’m so excited that you’ll finally get to read it in its entirety this fall!

I’ve finally wrapped those up, so I have some “free” time at last before my fall classes start and I’m swamped once again–though I’m hoping to try to be a little more active here despite that!

I have been working on Season Three of In/Exhale pretty regularly, and so far it’s looking to be the most expansive season yet. I’m hopeful I’ll be able to start posting by the end of this year, though with everything going on, I’m not entirely sure when that’ll be. But I will keep you all posted as I get a better feel for when the story will be ready to start “airing” again. 🙂

In other In/Exhale news, I finally have the time to get back into converting Season Two into ebook form, which is almost ready to go. I have a new appendix to write (about the US Foster system, based on some of your questions regarding the accuracy of the portrayal of it in the story), and then I need to format, but the new cover is done, so it shouldn’t be long now. I toyed with the idea of doing a different cover design, but for now I’m going to use the same one as last season and if I have time down the road for a more unique one, I can always update the files.

As for other projects, I’m hoping to get back into my M/M story. Despite some early critics, I think it has a lot of potential. I’m also debating some new ideas that I may try for NaNoWriMo this year. We’ll see!

I haven’t been reading much, but I have been gaming more, and I have several unwritten gaming-related posts I’ve been meaning to write and hope I’ll find some time for (including one about Jimmy in the recent South Park game and the villain in Thief, which brings up the question: why does the person with the disability “always” have to be the villain?). Hope you don’t mind. I’d like to keep my posts here broad and covering a different range of disability-related topics. I may even consider inviting some guest bloggers down the road! That might be interesting.

Thanks for your support, and do follow me on twitter as often I will post things there I don’t have time to do a formal blog post on, and I try to post relatively regularly there.

In a few days, I’ll put up an excerpt of Season Two of In/Exhale, and I hope I’ll have the ebook up before the end of the summer!

Happy reading!

Loose Id is publishing it, and it should be out in October, as of right now. I just got a draft of the cover–it’s awesome–and as soon as I get the final copy and permission to share it, I’ll post it! Thanks for your support!
